Theseus. […] earthlier happy is the rose distill’d,

That that which, withering on the virgin thorn,

Grows, lives, and dies, in single blessedness.

 

THESEE. – Le bonheur terrestre est plus grand pour la rose distillée

Que pour celle qui se flétrit sur son épine vierge,
